    In my opinion, that article tells me I'm an idiot. When told the Beckhams were upstanding folk, and that the rumors that the Mom and Coach had something against BP or ARK were "Crazy".. Heck, I believed it. Trying to say that a "rogue" booster, only from ARK, would call and leave a freakin message talking about a donation to a HS? Are you serious? And of course ARK was the only one doing negative recruiting saying that "things were going on at OU with the mass exodus of players"..
    And Mr. Beck, for a coach, must have an IQ of what, 10 or he must be "coaching" his first year, considering he can't tell that 2 coaches left for HEAD COACHING Positions and another from a position coach to a DCoordinator?
    Those people are straight up liars, big time. DGB may have been serious about ARk, but these two yahoos were NEVER going to let that happen. I believe they were "going to let him make his own decision" about as much as I believe in the tooth fairy.

    As far as I'm concerned - I'm done with Mom's that have names associate with Beck. They are all bat-$shit crazy and basically dumb as a box of rocks.

    Wow that is an interesting read to say the least! Glad the Beckhams are Pinkels problems not Petrino's. I'm Leary of the rouge booster story. If someone was that stupid I home they are banned for lifetime! The stuff on the coaching staff & Petrino was garbage!!! Wow and leave it at that.

  • I see it as this, if Mom and Dad would have come on the visit here I think we would have gotten him. The only thing they knew about his Arkansas visit was he shot guns and people bought him drinks. Give Mizzou some credit, they did a great job on his visit of giving DGB the true college experience of bars, girls VIP status, that he got here, BUT at the same time wined and dined Mom and Dad and painted a picture of Mizzou being like Disney World. I think if Mom had been at Arkansas and spent time with wth coaches and their wives and everything she could have had the same feeling about us.

  • She went to Mizzu, they were Pro Mizzu the entire time...Nothing was going to chance that. Read the article and I think that becomes very apparent.. They would not be spewing the crap about the U of A if there was ANY chance they would allow him to come here..

  • Apparently they failed to read the part of BP contract that has that 18million dollar buyout clause and is still around 8 to 11 milliom in four years ! Oh well we got some good ones and we all know how long it takes to get to a winning level in the SEC !

    The parents had been here many times on unofficials. It wouldn't have made any difference had they been here for official visit or if BP had made the in-home visit. They were intent on this kid going to Missouri and thus probably one reason John Beckham kept everyone so far away from DGB. I saw this with the Oher recruitment and the Mustain where controlling parent(s) were involved and I suspect one day DGB may start to ask himself exactly what they got him into.
    I have said this many times and I will say it again, Missouri is getting ready to find out what Arkansas found out when it went to the SEC.

  • The article was just a big smoke screen to cover their intensons. When DGB posted that tweet about being his decision, i believe he was thought he coming to the UA. But the parents steped in and the rest is history. But it did start earlier to keep him home. jmo
