Partridge teleconference

Just wrapped up. A couple of thoughts before writing:
* Took about a minute to see a couple of the reasons why he's such a great recruiter: He's extremely sharp and is a great talker. I didn't pick this up on the conference call, but based on what I've heard the past couple of weeks, he's a tireless recruiter as well.
* As we know, south Florida is his stomping grounds for recruiting. What I didn't know is that's where he actually got to know Bielema, who also recruited Florida for Iowa, K-State and Wisconsin. Between Partridge, Pittman and Bielema, that's a strong connection to Florida recruiting. I'm very intrigued to see where this leads.

Do you really not think 3 coaches in Florida isn't a waste? Especially of you looked at my post where I posted the players they got from Florida? They got 12 players from Florida to wisky in 4 years and only 3 had SEC offers. 8 of the 12 had 2 or less BCS offers and most those offers came from 3 schools Uconn, Syracuse, & South Florida. We could send in one recruiter to Florida and get those kind of recruits bc they don't have a better place to go.

What four are starters? I looked at their depth chart and stats. David Gilbert DE starts and Dez Southward starts at safety.. Conner Oneil is back up lber, james white is 2nd string RB and then they had a back up CB. I think there might have been one more 2nd string but we are looking at different depth charts. The one I looked at was updated the week of the big 10 championship. I'm linking the thing I got it from.

Yeah sorry RT not trying to argue but here is the depth chart vs Nebraska the other CB I was talking about was Peniel Jean. I posted in that thread how most were freshman. It was in the Florida recruiting thread.
The only starters are David Gilbert and Dezmen Southward.

I'll take your word for it. I know you research stuff very thoroughly. The depth chart I looked at was from mid-November, I believe, and wasn't from the official site. Came from another media outlet. Don't have time to go digging back through it again, and not sure how up-to-date either depth charts are. If they're official depth chart is like the Arkansas depth chart, probably not very accurate. Haha. Didn't BB say when he was hired that 3 of 4 secondary starters were from Florida? Seems like he said Texas, but meant Florida.

I have said it has been a waste in the past. If you consider basically Michael Smith and Javontee Herndon worth all the coaches they have had down there since Ford left then yes it has been great. As I did with Long's hiring of a coach, I will wait and see how this staff does. History says Arkansas has wasted a lot of time down there while basically ignoring Louisiana. I hope it is different with this staff. Time will tell, but yes to this point it has been a waste of time and money.

Yeah, I'm not going so far as to say that it will not work ever, I'm just saying that it has never worked in the past 20 years so it's not crazy to think that it won't work this time.
