Hey man, could not be happier with the sight! You guys and ladies are doing a great job.
What have you heard about Bo Pelini and the Arkansas job? Heard from some LSU guys he might would want it and that he and Long are close form there days at OU and also some on Long's Michigan contacts like Les Miles, who Bo was the DC for at LSU, and Hoke have warmed up Long to him.
He recruits to a place that is hard to recruit to, he goes into Texas, Florida, Cali, Missouri, Louisiana, Georgia, Illinois for his players. So that would seem to be a good fit for Arkansas in regards to recruiting.
He turned Nebraska around from a bad hire, would have to think he could do it at Arkansas.
So have you heard anything about this? And what do you think he could do?
I think he would need to change up some of his staff, but it could work. I think we could do a lot worse but I am not sure he would come, he is not as much liked up there esp after flirting with some other jobs and not winning against USCe in that bowl game.

I have heard Pelini isn't interested in the job. I just don't think that is route UA will go.

I have been told by some boosters who are in the know there is pressure on Jeff to hire an offensive minded coach. Fans loved what BP did on offense and they want to keep that going.

There was some smoke in Nebraska in the spring. Some folks up there were concerned Arkansas would make a move on Pelini. I never heard his name mentioned on this end, but I went on a Nebraska radio show and that's what they wanted to talk about.

Seems we need to HIRE the best coach! One that can recruit first off, and can coach D and O. If he is offensive minded great but we will still need D. Maybe we could get a D minded coach and hire a very good OC???
I don't know, man I just hope we don't scare off someone that could be great because we have these ideas as a fan base of what we think we need!

Good post. It does not mater if you can score 40 something points in a game. If the other team scores 60+ you still lose ( sound familiar ) :-). I think we need the best coach, whether it be an offensive or defensive minded coach. And I think the proof is in the pudding. Defense prevails in the SEC.
