  • You feel good about Tim staying and I would think you would feel the same about Bobby Allen staying right? Also is this based on something you have heard about our overall coaching situation or is it just the obivous reason of recruit's love them?

    Also on Tim, he has been back at the UA and he has coached Hillis, D Mac, Felix, Mike Smith, Knile, DJ, Ronnie , B Green also Tim was huge with Van Stumon, and now Small at the FB. That is a pretty good bunch he has coached and recruited or help recruit. We now have another crop coming in and will have a 3rd turnover the new players are Kody Walker,John Williams, Donovan Roberts, Nate Holmes from last years class and Blanchared and Altee, hopefuly, in this class. Now with that being said when will Tim startt to get some credit for maybe being one of if not the best RB coachs in the country.

    Also in time I fell Steve Caldwell will do at DE what Tim has done at RB.

  • Not a kid who has left the state in the past four years left because of Tim. Most didn't like BP. Tim is a very good coach. I don't get the good ole boy's network associated with him. If his last name was Jones or Smith people would be doing back flips over him.
    if two stud QBs with your last name isn't job security then not sure what is so yeah I think Bobby Allen will be here
    Caldwell is cranky as hell with the kids and they love him. He has that it factor
    This is a great staff, Would have loved to seen Petrino with this staff for one year.

    I agree they overall this is a good staff, but I doubt any of them will miss BP. Except for his brother.

    But he screwed it up, and in the long run I think we all will be fine.

    serious, are you starting to get any kind of feel on how we are going to go in regards to a new Head man? Someone I know in Baton Rouge said Danny Sheridan was claiming Larry Fedora about two months ago but we can scratch that now and people around Jimmy Sexton think it could be one of his guys, or a strong chance. Mike Gottfried and Sheridan are close with Sexton but who knows with all those guy and how they like to float rumors.

    Anyway thanks for the chat man, oh yeah congrats on the wedding of the youngest. I hope everything went well there.

    Wedding is next Saturday, but thanks and I appreciate it. Yeah it will be this coming Saturday. The following Saturday I have football practice, media day and Mike Anderson camp. He picked a great weekend to have wedding.

    I got a story for you, a good friend of mine who is an engineer with DOW in Baton Rouge, well his brother got married last year. The wedding was scheduled for the Saturday of the LSU BAMA game. The bride wanted her way, well my friends Dad and the Dad of the bride got together and told her if she would move the wedding to Friday they would cover all expenses for the change, and oh by the way a honeymoon to Italy will be paid for. Her response was "leverage is a beautiful thing"!

    Southern women know how to get there way, and how to work a free trip!

    biggrinI am glad they scheduled the right weekend that they did because I think Billy and Sarah know there was no trip to Italy in their future from me if they didn't . If they had scheduled a busy weekend, I would still have gone and just left all the stuff to cover to Robert and let his think and say evil things about me :)
