Loved this quote from Mike Anderson

  • "First, don’t ask me any questions about officiating. No, I’m just kidding. A little humor.” -- That's what he said to open his press conference last night after the Missouri loss, an obvious dig a Frank Haith, who began his press conference after the loss in Fayetteville with those words.

I can't ever remember liking a coach more after a 30-point loss, but between that comment and his laughing at Haith during the game, Anderson scored a few points with me. Now, if he would just sign a big-time point guard and get his team to compete better on the road ...

    R Turbeville

  • I still don't know why Haith flipped out during the game when his team was up big in the first half shrug

I think Mike yelled, "Hey, Frank, how's life at the strip club?" Haha. Just kidding. I dunno. Haith said it was "miscommunication." Personally, I think Haith has a few loose screws.

  • You can tell how bad Mizzou fans are though some of them booed Anderson, very odd normally a coach that does good things and PUTS YOU ON THE MAP is a little more respected... but hey it is Misery.

  • Missouri is literally the Asshole of the Earth ! If you lived in an Asshole you would have a !hitty attitude as well ...

  • At least he didn't turn his head sideways and yell "SMILE!"

  • IMO he loved the attention from their fans. He fed off their anger towards Mike. Much like a bully when surrounded by a bunch of his friends. He acted as if he really wanted a piece of Mike but probably is a puss. Mike showed class as he always does but it made me angry.

Mike better get some players who have some fight in them. I love Qualls!

  • I thought we praised BP for acting like a fool on the sideline?

The main thing is we have to improve. We have had it handed to us on the road this year. Not barely losing, we are getting blown out.

That's what happens when you don't have a true PG or post player. It's frustrating.

Ironically, last night was the first time we got it handed to us by a good team on the road. We normally have played the good teams respectable and the bad teams have handed to us. Go figure.

  • Haith wouldn't want anything to do with Anderson. Anderson would put him in the hospital.

    No, that's wrong.

If Petrino had to be restrained from attacking another coach for absolutely no reason, I'd think he was a tool.

Well, BP was a tool. But other than telling Les Miles F you MFer when he was running up the score on us, it was mostly toward his own players.

BTW, that was the week Uekman passed away. BP got a pass from me on that for this reason.

Yeah it does not make much sense at all.

Absolutely, I will always have extreme disdain for miles because of that and Bobby was right on task for yelling that imo.

Our players lost a team mate and miles should have had a little class and respect for that, but hell no that sob showed me who he really was that day.

  • Who cares. How he acts towards other coaches how about some in game coaching.
How about calling a time out after the 20th 3 point that did not go in and say hey let's try something else cause this is not working.if coach wants some credit from me he can stop smiling and start coaching.

  • Carlton Banks has hated MA since day 1 and is nothing short of a punk. As if what he said to Kikko at BWA wasn't enough, he attempted to charge our head coach? And they had some words after the game, too, I could see.

The Mizzou media is trying to spin the altercation as Anderson saying something to Pressey after he made a three that was offensive. Yeah, he would totally do that to his god son. Get real, Carlton.

  • Not sure if Ziggyhawg saw the game... but I doubt a couple time outs would have made a big difference. We lost by 30, in a closer game sure agreed it might have turned the tide or shifted momentum... but not in that game.

I don't exactly disagree with you 100%... just don't think the TO would have helped much!

Our team is not that great, but at home we have all the energy from our awesome fans to help... still got lot of room to grow.

Calling a time out is not an issue ,he could have yelled it across the court .my problem is that he made no move to stop all those 3 point attempts.or if he did and they paid no attention then he has bigger problem .

I agree to a point but dang we had some wide open looks. You have to shoot them when everybody is in the lane.
But we can't shoot the ball and we don't bang with any muscle really how have we won so many at home?

Crowd providing energy and those guys shoot pretty good at home.

I have heard from quite a few people that LSU players were talking crap about Uekman on the field.. From my understanding BP got wind of what was being said on the field and was pissed not only about the score but what they were saying..

I believe in the common decency of people and seriously doubt players would knowingly talk smack about a player who passed away. Of course this is an older story by now anyway but I just don't believe that.

I should say I give people the benefit of the doubt, I have been around long enough and lived many places to know there are some turds that are always stuck in the bowl!
