Fayetteville DB talks recruiting

Alex Brignoni is drawing interest from numerous Division I teams, including Arkansas, after making 10 interceptions as a junior and helping the Bulldogs win the 7A title.

  • Hmmmm well according to that last sentence he sounds pretty much verbally committed (Ps check out the band on his wrist if I didnt crop too much of it out.) The Fayt group will be Hogs I just can't picture them going anywhere else they may take some visits but these are kids who were born and raised to play at the UofA.

If we were to get say Von Bell and Cravens, then Alex would be left out(That is a longshot BTW). If one or both of them fall through then Alex prolly has a shot. Wonder who else they would have ahead of him at safety?

  • They aren't getting Bell and Cravens, they need to look hard at this kid sooner that than later. He wasn't getting any attention until Brandon Kennedy called me before Christmas and told me Alex needed some help getting his name out. I did that story on Hawgs247 and his attention picked up. I have seen the kid play for two years and he is a very good FS who measured in at 6-1 without shoes on Sunday. This national stuff is OK, but you need to make sure you take care of your home territory first. They need to try and wrap him up before all the schools starting coming in on him. The kid had over 100 tackles and 10 picks to lead FHS in both.

  • If he's a legit 4.47 then I bet we offer him. Was that run at a combine or with brandon Kennedy? Sounds like BK is doing great work with these kids!!! Hope we offer.

  • His 40 time is great for a high jr for his size and projected position. Just as good as vonn bell. I say you offer the kid that would give his heart and soul to play for you not some kid from god who knows where that doesn't know what it feels like growing up watching the hogs.

  • i think the way the staff works is that unless a kid just is knock your socks off on the tape they want to get him at camp. just the way they work. i woul;d be shocked if he is not offered at camp. kinda like jermey sprinkle

Great character kid too. My oldest son played baseball with his younger brother the past two years, him and Brooks Ellis's younger brother, and both of them have great families and our extremely fine young men. Look forward to watching them play for the hogs.
