I believe that our program is showing its last legs.MA and braintrusts are worthless as recruiters and developing players..However i never believed they would start family recruiting to fill up scholarships. Our program needs D1 players. If they cannot get them they need to hit the door and take their family with them
It's mind boggling that some forget where our program has been over the last decade. We showed improvement this year, if we don't show any improvement next year then i believe it's warranted. Until then, let him do his damn job.
BornToBeRed said: WPS, just a head's up. We might be the most family-friendly board on the network, so take it easy on your normal wps-ness.
None of us have forgotten the last ten yYears. Neither have we gotten over the crappy effort last years team put up on the road.Isaw no improvement from year to year If ypu think MA and staff are doing a good job recruiting look at last years efforts and this year without Portis who would have come no matter the coach. See any stars or difference makers. I .isee a bunch of players no one wanted i DO NOT CARE HOW MANY YEARS YOU GIVE MA .iT IS NOT WORKING
What, exactly, is not working?
The speed at which you thought MA would have us back to relevance?
We showed improvement in SEC play this year and defended our home court as we went undefeated in SEC play.
What is it, chief? What's not working?
How about decision making, and, effort every time you step on the court
How much of that is do to the league being down versus Arkansas being better ?? You have to admit that there is no way in hell that Arkansas beats Kentucky team from last year if they played them.

JYH, I like you man, but you have to be a little naive to think that a move like this, on the heels of losing out on 2 players within the last week, would not create some grumblings.
Come on man, you knew it was coming. It has to be expected. It is not the optimum situation, therefore, the coach is going to catch some heat. You HAVE to know that, right ?
First off, do we even have confirmation that the kid has an offer? If so, maybe it's a one year offer? I know i'm a half-full guy and always will be. If he has a full, four year offer then yes, that is a concern but not a big enough concern to state that we are on our last legs in our basketball program.
I wasn't necessarily agreeing with the OP... I just don't think this is an ideal situation to be in right now.
