I think I heard AC's mom is alleging that his HC did something shady to get him to go to Ark, right? Well here is a little food for thought. Stacey Coley a really good 2013 receiver signed with miami yesterday despite almost everyone in the business believing that he was going to sign with FSU. The interesting part of this is it is coming out today that Coley's former head coach is now on the shortlist to fill miami's recently vacated RB coach position. I doubt Collin's HC did anything bad but it looks like miami might of...
It's all just attention and speculation. Happens every year.
Look at Ark's track record and Coach B's track record.... and look at Miami's track record and ongoing investigation.
Now I think Miami is growing and moving beyond it, thank goodness... but there's nothing super dupe weird. It's just strong ties and relationships at work.
Don't be surprised if some more negative stuff from the mom and attorney comes out today.

They just had it on CBS This Morning.. nothing too bad but definitely not good for Arkansas and her
Not good because of the crap being said or not good because something did happen?
Sounds like a lot of rumors.
its just negative press.. they were pretty much stating we should have had the Mom in our corner and that it was handled correctly... nothing too bad but not great either
In a couple of days it will be a non story ( already is to everyone besides Miami and AR fans). Momma will finally realize there is no more attention headed her way and hopefully realize she might of destroyed her relationship or severely damaged it with her son and ask for forgiveness. Either way she will have to live with her choices. Makes me feel more blessed to have the mother I have.

Yeah wish his mom had come on the visit with Collins but maybe he wanted to do his own thing alone too who knows.
As more info comes out the whole story is less weird and crazy, makes more sense to me at least.
Still love how Collins handled it.
I hope your new coach enjoy's recruiting in the SEC... and he thought Meyer was bad when he was in the Big Ten, at least they didn't have psycho mom to deal with in the Big Ten.
AR fans/admins are professionals at dealing with crazy mommas.
Looks like OK was right. Just saw on a "national news network" where momma is trying to 'block his enrollment'. I just hope the drama goes away SOON!
Lol....Momma needs to give it a break b/c signing a LOI or not signing one a parent can't stop a kid from going to ANY school of choice and enrolling in June and getting a free ride on top of it... Sorry and on top of this AC didn't even live with her and now all of a sudden she is looking out for his best interest? Please all she is doing is looking out for her best interest and trying to figure out a way to leverage the U for not making sure her son attended the U and when this comes out she will shut her trap quick....She has some major issues for sure.......

I would think there is no way she could block his enrollment. He got a guardians signature. I believe a judge would laugh her out of a court room. This is all about attention with her and the law firm. I would be interested if there are any boosters or Miami grads that work for the law firm. There was a good reason he didn't live with her and I believe we are all starting to see why. I hope this all goes away soon so Alex can have some peace and happiness in his life.
Can we not get lawyers involved? I'd like to see how long that firm does "free" work if we do
If I was Miami I would make a phone call to her to get her to stop all of the drama. Not to sure I wouldn't make a statement if I was Miami distancing the university from all of this.
There are rumors one of the attorney's at that firm is in fact a Miami booster, if there is ANY connection at all it would not be good for Miami she could end up hurting the U that she pretends to care about.
Her attorney is an alumni of the University of Miami.
Yeah I would imagine that is not a good thing for Miami. Someone needs to get her to relax and let her son go to school... he has a scholarship to get a very good degree and play football in the best conference in the country.
I am sure:
1) It's not her hard-earned money
2) Her financial reward must be = a ton of $$$ from somewhere.
Very fishy of her
If her action is not FISHY I do not know what is????
She is willing to risk everything, including her son, to press this matter.
I am wonder what's in her basket????
But B1G have a lot of psycho fans
On what grounds? Did they give her reasons for wanting to do so? Not going to happen. You can't block someone's enrollment.
I think everyone before they goto bed tonight needs to pray that this gets resolved in the best intrest of Alex Collins.
