how do these programs already have 30 and 34, respectively, commitments? are they going to trim some kids before NSD, or am i missing something here? i thought you could no longer "count back", sign extras due to attrition, etc. how are they doing it, or are they counting on several to drop off the radar?
Yeah you can still count back. Let's say someone enrolled 15 kids last year. Then they could sign 10 that could come in at midterm and then 25 in February so technically you would have 35 commits to announce.
A&M isn't under the SEC recruiting regulations yet, but they also have a few grade risks.
Sumlin has Texas locked down.

This is where we are. We signed 19 last year, one didn't make it in due to grades and four enrolled early and counted towards 2011. So, as I understand, we can take up to 11 (10 maybe, I’m not sure how the guy we lost to grades spot works) early enrollees and still have 25 ships to play with for 2013.
Out of the guys we have committed right now, 2 pretty much have no shot at qualifying, 2 more are better off, but in no way guaranteed and Kohl Stewart might go MLB.
Which 2 have no chance of qualifying, which 2 are almost as bad, and are you Javelina Ag because of A&I ?
Little to no chance - Griffin and Davis
Work to do - Huggins and Walker
Yes, I did my undergrad studies at A&I and went to grad school at A&M.
