Badger fan here. This is going to come off as flaming, but I wanted to get your opinions on Bret's twitter habits. He seems to be running his own account, but he's also responding to a lot of the taunts and insults that old Badger fans are throwing his way. Do you like that coach runs his own twitter account or are you scared he's going to put his foot in his mouth?
If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He likes enchiladas, because that's what He's getting
I'd stand up for myself if I were him.
What is Twitter?

I have no problem with it.
Just curious, thanks guys! Upvotes all around
After a couple of coaches that kept messages private and led to their demise, I'll take public chatter of any kind any day. Most of what I see him do is say things like "keep it classy" and such.
What I can't figure out is why Badger fans even care? Those on Twitter that are attacking him for leaving are also attacking him for his coaching abilities. You either love him or not, but you can't have it both ways.
So bottom line, I don't mind it at all.
I'm going to treat you as though you're not flaming and give you the non-flaming answer.
I think it's refreshing to have a coach and coaching staff that seem to be a little more laid-back than B Petrino and can communicate with fans and recruits the way Bielema seems to be able to.
However...there is a line I hope he doesn't cross. I guess we'll have to trust he won't cross that line and not get our panties in a wad until he actually does cross that line.
I love that he does it.
Not going to flame this time. Have in the past, but trying to get away from it now. Thanks for the input!
Do you live in Wisconsin? I have a bunch of friends up there in Appleton, Milwaukee, Madison and Beloit.
I don't mind it at all. CBB is an intelligent man and has the right to voice his opinion. To all the people that give him crap... They had it coming. WPS KCCO
I love it! I think he is a str8 shooting guy that enjoys having contact with the fans. Its great to have a coach that is willing to handle his own account and not a GA. Yall just dont like it cause he has busted a few of yall out and its funny as hell.
Yes he does run his own account.
Ive kept up with most of the coaches accounts since they've been hired. They've all been very professional. Coach Beliema for the most part has posted mostly about things regarding the UofA. I have seen a few times where he has chastised certain Badger fans for being obnoxious and bitter-fully angry. He has said nothing vulgar or flaming towards them outside of telling them to act their age.
They came to him not the other way around. If they don't want to be treated like a child then they shouldn't act like one.

I am in my 50's and think it is great that he is using social media for interaction.
His responses have been fine even though some turds have tried baiting him....
It is also fun to see him tweet some of his dining experiences...great free PR for
those local establishments.
A+ coach for being a blue collar guy who is bonding with the fans....
Peace, Love, Toes in the Sand....
exactly, you don't want to be hammered then don't hammer someone. I have been amused thru the years that some think they can go on twitter, FB or a message board and hammer someone but if they hammer them back they are such an unprofessional jerk. Treat people like you want to be treated and all will be fine in this world.
