We need a coach who can recruit. I've spoken with numerous players and former players over the past few years when I was attending the U of A. They all said Petrino was a dick and that he sucks at recruiting. Most players came to the U of A for the assistant coaches (Paul Petrino, Allen, Horton, etc).

One former player actually told me that Paul and Bobby are total opposites. They said Paul is a cool guy who gets along with anyone.

I am not excited about any of those on the list. I don't care what it cost we need someone who can take what Bobby started and build on it and make it better. There is room for improvement we just need to find the right coach.

What about TCU's Gary Patterson? Thanks!

Otis/RT...is there any chance Taver Johnson gets to coach this team this fall? Just thinking while typing....any outside coach that gets hired means most of this staff will gone, most likely, and new coaches with a new system would be implemented beginning in the fall. Not really a good time to implement a new offense/defense. I know that's short sighted but given that this team is ready to win now I think any chance to keep things as close to the way they are now would be a good thing! If Tavar doesn't show that he has what it takes then look for a coach at the end of the season when coaches are looking to move.....not sure what caliber of coach would take a job at this time of year.

I would like to add Darell Hazell at Kent state. He was a WR coach at TOSU. He coached guys like Ginn, Gonzales and Holmes. He was a GREAT recruiter and was actually the person responsible for damn near every Florida kid we landed under Tress. He also called the spread formations we ran the last year he was there. He was the Ast. Heads Coach. The guy will be a steal for any school that lands him.

As i mentioned before he recruited the south very well and also has a great relationship with Taver Johnson and Paul Haynes.

Also Strong and Franklin are to great coaches i think will make some big university happy.

Regardless you guys have a great university and program. Don't worry. You will land a top flight coach! Schools like Arkansas, OSU, Texas etc don't keep vacancies long.

I feel for you Razorbacks. You are good fans and I enjoy our rivalry. IMO Butch Davis is a guy that will recruit the heck out of the south for you, win games and keep the momentum going. Charlie Strong is good but Im not sure how good of a head coach he is.

As a Cane fan, adversity can sometimes put you in a better place. Not to agree with that Gator but the first call is to Butch Davis. He is alum, and built the best team in college football history the 01 Canes. His talent evals are ridiculous. Ed Reed, 2 star RB out of Louisiana for instance. He did it under sanctions(we always got em). Look at UNC, irrelevant now one of the most NFL producing colleges. Butch has got to be your guy. And they didnt hit him with a show cause sanction which is huge.

I hate LSU, even more hate Bama and absolutely dispise Gators. Come back quick!
