It's a beautiful day for football at Baum Stadium -- 40 degrees and windy -- but we're gonna start the baseball season in about 20 minutes. I'll be posting live updates in this thread, and please post your thoughts on the game here, too. First pitch is set for 3:05 p.m.

Dan Dispensa up next. Facing a 3-2 count, he fouls one to left field. Vinson runs into the wall and makes the catch! Two up, two down.
Henning the next batter. Facing 3-2 count, he pops one up to second, where Mahan makes the easy play. 0 runs, 0 hits, 0 errors, 0 LOB.
Vinson leading it off for the Hogs ... Facing a full count, he walks. That brings Morris to the plate. He was a .236 hitter last season. Morris looking to bunt.
Morris now facing a full count after getting ahead 3-0 ...
And Morris walks. Two men on, and freshman Tyler Spoon steps to the plate. Western Illinois gonna talk it over at the mound.
Spoon puts down a nice bunt in front of the plate. The only play for the catcher is at first. Both runners advance. Spoon out at first.
Fisher the next batter.
And Fisher hits a 1-1 pitch between the gap at first and second, driving in two runs. The diving second baseman can't make the play. Hogs lead 2-0.
Anderson the next Arkansas batter.
Anderson lines a 2-2 pitch into right-center, just past the outstretched glove of the second baseman. Hogs have runners at first and second, no outs, and Schwanke at the plate. Razorbacks lead 2-0.
Schwanke pops a 2-0 pitch into left for an easy out. That sends Jake Wise to the plate. Runners still at first and second, with two outs.
Smith has thrown 30 pitches in this inning so far ... Wise facing a 1-1 count.
Wise grounds out, 6-4, to end the inning. Hogs lead 2-0 after one.
Kedroski grounds out to lead off the top of the second. Maki at the plate for Western Illinois. Count is full ... and he strikes out swinging, chasing a pitch high and outside.
Stafford strikes out swinging to end the inning. Three up and three down for Western Illinois.
Mahan will lead off the Hogs' half of the second. Razorbacks lead 2-0.
Mahan grounds the first pitch he sees into center for a single. McAfee, the 9-hole hitter, the next batter.
Fielder's choice -- 6-4. McAfee safe at first on the late throw. That sends Vinson back to the plate with one out. McAfee advances to second on a wild pitch.
Vinson flies out to left. Two away. Morris now batting. McAfee still on second.
Morris walks. Runners at first and second with two outs, and Spoon the next batter.
Both runners advance on a wild pitch.
Spoon flies out to center to end the inning. Going into the third, Arkansas leads 2-0.
