My predictions were better in Week 3 when I hit 18-of-20 picks correct after falling to 14-6 in the second week.
John L. Smith will try to help the Razorbacks get a win over undefeated Rutgers on Saturday night in Razorback Stadium.
This week brings another 20 games I will try to pick the winner. I am 50-10 after three weeks and Week 4 promises some good games around the SEC and nation.
Here are my picks for Week 4:
Arkansas over Rutgers: I just think getting quarterback Tyler Wilson back plus the fact Arkansas needs to play well and get a win will be shown this week. Arkansas is 1-2 and the fact is they really haven't played very well at all this year. They need to this week against an undefeated Rutgers team.
Alabama over Florida Atlantic: One FAU player was quoted saying Alabama isn't unbeatable. While that is correct, it is in this game.
LSU over Auburn: I hope Gene Chizik thanks his lucky stars for Cam Newton each day and night. Without Newton, this would have been a very average program since he has arrived.
Florida over Kentucky: John Calipari will have them ready to play, but Gainesville is a tough place to play. Oh wait, this is football. Florida wins easily then.
Georgia over Vanderbilt: The Bulldogs get James Franklin's Vandy squad at home and should win this one. It had a very wild finish in Nashville last year.
Ole Miss over Tulane: Hugh Freeze moves his team to 3-1 as they now have to play SEC teams the rest of the season.
Mississippi State over South Alabama: The Bulldogs walloped Auburn earlier this season and this could be a very good year for them. They have a very good football team.
South Carolina over Missouri: The Gamecocks show Missouri what life in the SEC is like particularly on the road. Missouri has already found out what it's like at home as Georgia beat them minus a few starters.
Tennessee over Akron: The Vols take a break from the SEC after losing to Florida last week. They will get the win here and try to get the momentum back to where it was before the Gators beat them.
Texas A&M over South Carolina State: The Aggies want a breather this week and get it. A&M has lost to Florida at home this year, but they will now get their chance next week to beat Arkansas in a game that will be played in College Station instead of Dallas.
Arkansas State over Alcorn State: Gus Malzahn will get his second win as a college head coach to even his record at 2-2. The good news for ASU and Malzahn is that Nebraska and Oregon are behind them.
Florida State over Clemson: There is something about picking Florida State to win under Jimbo Fisher when they are playing a good opponent that just scares me. Let's see what happens in this one.
Baylor over ULM: In Friday night's game on TV, this could be a very good one. It will feature Art Briles' high-powered offense against Kolton Browning and ULM. Arkansas knows how good Browning is for sure.
Louisville over Florida International: Charlie Strong keeps Louisville on a roll. They built a big lead against North Carolina and then had to hang for the win.
OU over Kansas State: Bob Stoops has had Kansas State's number. The Wildcats are one of the best teams in the Big 12, but this week Stoops and OU get the win.
Notre Dame over Michigan: Notre Dame surprised me and won last week so I will pick them this week to become state champions of Michigan.
Southern Cal over California: The USC and Notre Dame games last week were only ones I had wrong. USC won't lose two weeks in a row.
TCU over Virginia: Gary Patterson has the Horned Frogs rolling in Fort Worth and is one of the coaches Arkansas is looking at.
UCLA over Oregon State: Jim Mora Jr. continues to show that nothing is or was wrong with the Bruins that a coaching change couldn't fix.
Ohio State over UAB: This is rough one for Garrick McGee. The Buckeyes will have to show mercy or this will get very, very ugly.
