Hogs officially add JUCO pair

Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema has officially announced the signing of a pair of junior college recruits.

Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema officially added two junior college recruits on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Iowa Western 4-star offensive lineman Sebastian Tretola, 6-4, 315, and Arizona Western 3-star wide receiver Cody Hollister, 6-4, 205, both inked with the Razorbacks. Bielema and Arkansas had to wait until they received all the paper work to release the signings.

“We are very excited to continue the growth of our Razorback family,” Bielema said. “As student-athletes they will be able to maximize our out-of-season program in addition to having the ability to take part in spring practice. Both of them were full qualifiers out of high school, which was very important to our staff moving forward.”

Tretola turned down an official visit to Florida and Cincinnati to visit Arkansas this past weekend. He had previously visited Oklahoma, TCU, Texas Tech and South Florida. Tretola was recruited by offensive line coach Sam Pittman. He narrowed his final decision to OU, TCU and Arkansas before picking the Razorbacks.

Tretola has a grade of 90 with 247Sports, is rated the No. 29 junior college recruit, No. 29 offensive tackle and No. 8 junior college recruit in Iowa. Tretola is expected to play offensive guard at Arkansas allowing Dan Skipper to return to his natural position at offensive tackle. Tretola will have two years to play two.

Hollister will come to Fayetteville with three years to play three. As a freshman at Arizona Western, Hollister caught 68 passes for 922 yards and five touchdowns. He chose the Razorbacks over offers from Wyoming and Troy. Illinois, Indiana and California were also recruiting him though they didn't offer.

Hollister has a grade of 80 with 247Sports, is the No. 197 junior college recruit, No. 27 wide receiver and No. 17 junior college recruit in Arizona.

Hollister and Tretola join a trio of high school recruits scheduled to enroll in January. That trio includes Bolivar (Mo.) 4-star quarterback Rafe Peavey, Shreveport (La.) Evangel 3-star wide receiver Jared Cornelius and Kennesaw (Ga.) Lassiter 3-star cornerback Chris Murphy.
