The Feb. 6 National Signing Day is just around the corner as Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema continues to add pieces to his class.
Arkansas is scheduled to sign 4-star offensive guard Reeve Koehler.
Arkansas has picked up four commitments in the past two days. Bielema is hoping to continue to gain momentum as his first class is starting to take shape. Arkansas has 17 commitments and will host some more recruits this weekend.
Here's a look at three positions where the Razorbacks still need help with the eight remaining scholarships:
Arkansas picked up 3-star offensive tackle Dan Skipper today and that is a huge get for Sam Pittman and the offensive line. The Razorbacks also have 4-star offensive guard Reeve Koehler and composite 3-star offensive guard Johnathan McClure. McClure signed in December and is currently attending classes at Arkansas.
Despite having three nice additions, the Razorbacks still hope to add at least one and maybe two linemen to the class. Arkansas and Nebraska are in a battle for 3-star offensive tackle Dwayne Johnson. Johnson visited Arkansas this past weekend and saw the Cornhuskers the previous weekend. Johnson could make his announcement today.
Arkansas also played host to 4-star offensive lineman Denver Kirkland over the weekend. Kirkland has the Razorbacks, Ole Miss and the Florida schools in hot pursuit of his signature. Arkansas also hosted 3-star offensive tackle Kenny Lacy this past weekend, but he will stick with UCLA.
The Razorbacks have a commitment from 2-star Drew Morgan, who is probably the most underrated recruit on Arkansas' commitment list. Morgan was one of the state's top football players at both wide receiver and safety. He could play either at Arkansas, but the Hogs want him for offense. He chose Arkansas over offers from Auburn and Arkansas State.
3-star Corey Cooper is scheduled to visit Fayetteville this weekend, but committed to Syracuse last weekend. It's unclear now if Cooper will keep his trip to Arkansas.
Arkansas also offered 3-star Marquez Valdes this past week. Valdes is among the top receivers in Florida. The Razorbacks are also considering Little Rock Central's A.J. Tucker.
This is position where Arkansas has no commitments, but has a big need. The Razorbacks are still working on trying to flip North Little Rock 4-star Altee Tenpenny away from Alabama. Tenpenny has visited both and had in-home visits with both coaches so now he's just waiting to make his final announcement on Feb. 6. He remains committed to the Crimson Tide at this time.
Arkansas also hosted 5-star Alex Collins over the weekend. Collins will likely choose either Arkansas or Miami. Right now, he is slated to make his announcement on Monday. Florida, Florida State and Wisconsin are still holding out some hope.
Arkansas is also on numerous other running backs including Osceola's Korliss Marshall, the Miami Columbus pair of Daryl Chestnut and Lorenzo Woodley and 3-star Denzell Evans. Arkansas could sign one or two from this group though a lot depends on what happens with Tenpenny and Collins.
