Hatcher and Wilson must step up and join Cobi, Herndon, Horton and Minor in our WR rotation. Cud also see more two TE sets this season to offset the WR situation.

    • I think Brandon Mitchell will get some snaps out there too and Cowan is very capable of helping. I wish Ronnie Wingo would get some action at WR in addition to RB.

I think they redshirt Hawkins and McKay and play Cowan, Hatcher and Wilson

    • I'm not so sure Hawkins redshirts Otis, this kid can fly, he has track speed, he might just be to good of an athlete not to use.
I'm not sure where I read it, Mckay is suppose to be a big time talent, and that he has a chance to be as good or better than all former hog receivers. I think he has over a 40 inch vert. He might just be the steal of the class.
Need some of these talented rookies to step up and compete, this a good group of athletes.

Yeah I was counting Hawkins as a for sure RS. Cowan is AWFULLY thin, I ran into him at a game last year and he looked like Todd Day when he first stepped foot on campus.

Yeah I imagine you read that on here about McKay. I posted that a former Hog now in the pros said he is big time and will have a chance to be among the best to ever play WR here. He also added that McKay really needs to hit the weights and redshirt for a year. This former Hog is really high on McKay

No, I just feel weird about identifying people when I talk to them and not in an interview situation. I put their name out there and then it gets to point no one wants to talk to me because they are afraid it will end up with their name on it on this messageboard. I think you understand that. Not trying to be some secret agent, but just in a different situation than you or the next guy. They tell you they are telling another fan etc. They tell me they are talking to a reporter and they know it, but they don't feel it is interview circumstance. That's all, maybe it is just me being weird and too protective of people, I don't know.

What Otis is trying to say, is the pro player is in a witness protection program. And Otis is a secret agent for the CIA posing as a sports writer. If he told you he would have to kill you. But then again i could be wrong.

    • I thought last year from watching video that Hatcher would be our top receiver next year... Crazy I know. but Ill put this here so I can brag later... Hatcher will have the most yards next year at wr position.

edit - This comes from a lot more than his (keon) video its Tylers tendencies.... and I dont want to get in a debate about my opinion on that here.

    • Cowan will be the possession receiver and can sit down in the defense. Hatcher will be a gamebreaker though. I remember when he blew up last spring in camps, they just hadn't discovered him because of his age. He has the most upside out this freshmen group. I don't see any way Hawkins doesn't see the shirt or McKay.

    • I thought Hatcher had 4.4 speed? Is that not right?

      RandyRazorback

    • Im not sure man, I remember reading he was uber fast last year, but I personally do not put stock on 40 times, especially on kids going to college. I remember reading a Minnesota story in Mosses second year saying how he ran a 4.5 but it was covered up. Then I read a sports scientists landmark study on how some 40 times are physically impossible.

I remember anther landmark study that explained how having a computer motioned dummy at the LoS then timing recievers at 8 , 12 and 15 yards at an average would be the best judge for football.

And I think that is true.

40 times mean little to me now unless they are very fast or very slow.
