Arlington (Texas) James Martin 3-star shooting guard Nick Babb has committed to Arkansas.
Nick Babb brings a versatile game to Arkansas for the Class of 2014.
Babb, 6-4, 180, chose the Razorbacks over SMU and Texas A&M. Babb took an unofficial visit to Arkansas earlier this summer and came away impressed.
“They have a good environment there,” Babb said. “I also have heard good things about Arkansas from Keaton Miles.”
Miles enrolled at Arkansas for the second semester of summer school after transferring in from West Virginia. Miles is from Dallas as well.
Babb was one of Arkansas' top targets and is known as a great long-range shooter, but says he can do much more than just shoot.
“I can finish around the basket, I can score various ways and I'm good on defense,” Babb said.
Babb joins North Little Rock point guard Anton Beard and Forrest City power forward Trey Thompson in the Class of 2014. In addition, Miles actually counts in the Class of 2013, but won't be eligible to play due to NCAA's transfer rule until 2014-15 season.
Babb is rated the No. 159 prospect in the Top 247, No. 38 shooting guard and No. 17 recruit in Texas. Babb was recruited by Melvin Watkins, an assistant at Arkansas. Arkansas is trying to sign at least one more prospect in this class.
